favorite shows and things to do in nyc

If you’ve been following me on Instagram stories you know that I’ve been in 4 countries in the last 4 weeks. One of my absolute favorite places to visit is NYC.

The lights, the tall buildings, the magnificent food, I’m always blown away by how amazing New York City truly is. There are a number of things to do while visiting the city, but my favorite is attending shows. The greatest shows in the shows in the world are on stage in New York City. For years now, I’ve made it a golden rule of mine that if I visit the Big Apple I must attend at least 1 show. This visit I decided to attend Paramour Cirque Du Soleil.

One thing that really impressed me about the show was how they were able to incorporate both acrobatics and a love story. The love story takes you back to old Hollywood, where a director is in search of his next big star when he discovers a small town actress. Cirque Du Soleil shows are known for having the best acrobatics in the world and this show definitely lived up to those expectations. I highly recommend checking it out before it leaves NYC April 16th.

For me it’s always difficult packing for a trip to NYC because I literally want to pack my entire closet. Since I was there for work, my suitcase space was limited. One thing I always pack is timeless pieces. For the Paramour show, I wore a black turtleneck folded down an extra time, basic jeans, and booties. Recently I discovered a brand called Sawicki Atelier jewelry (which I talk about here) and I can’t get over how incredible their pieces are. The one I’m wearing is so gorgeous, it is a circle filled with tiny diamonds. Every time I wear their pieces I receive endless amounts of compliments.

New York City is a truly remarkable place to visit, I highly recommend the trip if you have never been. From the shopping to the shows, there is something for everyone to do! For those of you who were asking, I stayed in the lower Eastside. What I loved about this location was the food and the culture that was present in this location.
