Walking Tour of Paris – Discover Walks

One of my favorite things to do in Paris is walk around and explore the city. When my friend Chloe (mylifelivingabroad) invited me on a walking tour of Paris with Discover Walks Paris, I knew I had to go!
The tour took place in Rue Montourgueil. Here we discovered a variety of cheese, meat, bread and dessert while receiving a brief history of Paris from our wonderful tour guide Marie.
Our first stop on the tour took us to a local cheese shop called La Fermette. Here we were able to try a variety of different cheeses! I’ve always been a huge fan of cheese which is why I was super excited to try new varieties that I have not yet experienced on this walk. Here we also picked up some charcuterie (sliced cooked meat), rillettes and pâte!
The second stop in our walking tour lead us to a bakery! Here we gathered our baguettes for our picnic. It’s almost impossible to come to France and not enjoy a Fresh Baguette.
After we gathered our staple pieces we headed over to a lovely park where here we enjoyed a traditional French picnic. What I loved about our picnic was how we were able to share stories of how we moved to Paris and shared many memories over an incredible picnic. Once we finished our picnic we had one last stop.
No walking tour would be complete without fresh pastries. Personally this was my favorite part of the trip! Here we enjoyed delicious pastries to fulfill my sweet tooth!
