Tipping in Europe is not required, however it is a kind gesture to leave a couple Euros if you had a great experience.

Tipping at a coffee shop: no more than 1 Euro

Tipping at a fancy restaurant:  €2-5 per person

Tipping at a casual restaurant:  €1 per person

Tipping at a bar:  No tip

In Europe employees are paid a fair wage and they don't rely on tips
