Are Kooreloo Bags Worth the Price, 2023?
A few years ago, I decided to take a risk and invest in a bright-colored Kooreloo bag. I was shopping in NYC and stumped upon a bright orange woven bag. Years later I still adore wearing this fun bag. Yes, the Kooreloo bags are worth the price due to the fact these bags are handcrafted using an ancient woven technique, has an affordable price point, incorporates European Chic style and the Mediterranean culture.
History of the Kooreloo Bag?
Founded in 2014, by Leila Karr, Kooreloo bags incorporate both European Chic style and the Mediterranean culture. What started out as a way to incorporate more color in Karr’s “corporate financial” life, grew into a successful handbag company. Every bag is hand woven, and inside every bag there is an image of a Greek Goddess from Athena that is said to inspire, and spark creativity. Today, Kooreloo continues to grow and has expanded both domestically and internationally!
What is the Average Price of a Kooreloo Bag?
What I love about the Kooreloo bags is the affordable price point. Pricing starts at $185 and no bag is priced over $1,000. The average price is roughly $500 making this an affordable luxury handbag. The good news is the Kooreloo is known for putting their bags on sale, so if the pricing is currently a little out of your budget, know that there is a possibility the handbag you are lusting after could be discounted.
What is the Quality of the Kooreloo Brand?
One of the things that drew me to the bag was the high quality. I was blown away with the attention to detail and craftsmanship used on the bag, by the high quality material used, and for how sturdy the bag is. I find fascinating is that it was inspired by an ancient woven technique used to create rugs called in Greek “kourelou”, in English it is translated patchwork. Kooreloo took this technique to create magnificent hand woven bags. I'm a big supporter of investing in high quality handbags that will last for years to come.
Are Kooreloo bags worth the price?
In short, Yes, the Kooreloo bag is worth investing in! If you are looking for a high quality fun bag that is priced under $1,000 then Kooreloo is a great option! I would highly recommend investing in one of their classic timeless pieces such as crossbody bag in more of a neutral color. I find that neutral colors are always easier to match.
