We did it!! Aaron and I are officially married!! It’s hard to believe since we’ve been engaged for now a little over 2 years and dating since college! (You can read about how we met in this article I posted a few years ago) I know you probably came here for the photos so I will keep the text short, and add as many photos as possible.
About Our Wedding
When I envisioned my wedding, I thought about all the things I wanted. I pictured all aspects of the wedding, including the rehearsal, the ceremony, the reception and even the breakfast celebration after. When Covid 19 was first announced, I thought we could wait it out and figure out a new game plan. As Covid continued to get worse the giant wedding I envisioned morphed into a small intimate wedding surrounded by our immediate families.
The Wedding Dress & Shoes
Before I left for Paris, I fell in love with a designer called Ida Sjöstedt. I originally saw her designs because Princess Madeleine was featured wearing one of her gowns. When I first saw this sheer high neck dress, I knew it would be perfect for our special day. As for the shoes, I wore these gorgeous gold shoes from a French designer called F. Pinet.
Our Wedding Photoshoot Location
As many of you know, I haven't lived in Kansas for over 10 years now. Therefore, my knowledge of good photos locations is quite limited. I relied on our photographer Alea to shed some light on where she thought the best place to do photos was. That is when Alea suggested we do wedding photos at Kessler Park in Kansas City. When I saw the photos of The Concourse in Kessler Park in North Kansas City, MO I knew it would be perfect. The location was fitting for Aaron and myself personality and I thought it would look great with the dress!
Information about our Wedding photographer
We were lucky enough to have Alea (also known as Alea Lovely on social media) take our wedding photos. She has known both Aaron and myself for a few years now. Ironically we met in Paris, but are both from Kansas. When I told her we were getting married in a small intimate wedding, she was so happy for both of us! Alea is the most talented wedding photographer I’ve ever met, and I highly recommend her if you need wedding photos, family photos or photos in general! She’s fantastic and makes you feel comfortable and confident!
Thinking about getting engaged? Then I highly recommend you check out Brilliant Earth, they have incredible engagement rings and matching wedding bands that are wow!!
