What Clothes to Pack for Miami During the Winter
Dressing for the winter can be tricky in general, and dressing for the winter in Miami, Florida it's tough to know what clothes to pack and what clothes to wear. This winter, my family decided to take a vacation to Florida to escape the cold. Growing up in Kansas and spending the last 3 winters in Paris, I had no idea what clothes to pack for Miami during the winter. In Paris it often rains or lightly snows, and in Kansas it’s always snowing. On average, the temperature in Miami during the winter is between 65 degrees F and 76 degrees. Miami is right on the water, and you never know if it’s going to be colder because of the wind chill, especially at night. During our stay in Miami, we experienced partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s.
Aaron and I decided it would be best to fly to Miami with a shared suitcase, in hindsight that was probably a bad idea, given that I took up a majority of the suitcase (shoes take up a lot of space!) By sharing a suitcase it prompted me to only pack multi-purpose pieces.
1.) SITTA DRESS, vertical striped shirtdress
The first dress I packed was this long sleeve vertical striped shirtdress by Sparkz Copenhagen. Being only 4’11 I love wearing vertical striped outfits for a few reasons, but the first is that it give the perception of being taller and also make you look more slimming. The reason I packed this dress was because I could wear it during the day and also it could dub as a swimsuit cover-up. This is definitely a multi-purpose dress.

2.) RYA black checkered dress
The second dress I packed was a black-checkered dress called Rya from Sparkz Copenhagen as well. What about I love about this black-checkered dress is that it can be worn during the day and during the night. For the nighttime when the temperatures dropped I paired it with a black leather jacket.

For both outfits, I wore my go to Black Louboutin booties, and black purse.

My biggest tips for what clothes to pack for Miami during the winter are can be summed up into 3 things:
- Number 1; pack universal items, both dresses I packed for Miami were worn for multiple different occasions.
- Number 2; pack a jacket for when the temperature goes down at night and you are near the water.
- Number 3 bring sunglasses!
