Paris is filled with so many incredible bars and in the summertime in Paris all the rooftop bars are finally open! I’ve decided to launch a mini series of Rooftop Bars in Paris with incredible views of the Eiffel Tower and Paris. Today is Part 1 of the mini series, and I will be focused on luxury rooftop bars in Paris with an Eiffel Tower View.
While most locals flee the city in August, I tend to stay to enjoy the full Parisian summer experience. Paris in the summertime is easily one of my favorite times of year (Link to Paris article summertime). The sun is shining, people are outside walking around, the terraces are open. With so many incredible rooftop views of the Eiffel Tower, today I’m excited to share with you my 5 favorite luxury rooftop bars in Paris with an Eiffel Tower view.
What to expect when visiting Luxury Rooftop Bars in Paris
At a luxury rooftop bar in Paris expect to find a more calm environment with softer music playing in the background. Typically, I tend to go to the luxury rooftop bar for a date or if I have a visitor in town. The drink prices are these luxury rooftop bars that can range on average anywhere from 15 Euros to 45 Euros (and even higher!). Most of these luxury rooftop bars in Paris do carry unique drinks that are not offered at every rooftop bar in Paris!
Peninsula Hotel Rooftop Bar – Le Rooftop
When I think of the upper echelon of hotels in Paris my mind instantly goes to the Peninsula Hotel. The Peninsula Hotel is easily one of the most famous hotels in Paris, and is known for its outstanding service, incredible food, and breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. Not only have I enjoyed an incredible tea time experience there…twice, I’ve also eaten dinner at their Michelin Star restaurant (highly recommended).
With that being said, the Peninsula Hotel Rooftop Bar in Paris is absolutely incredible! It has an unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower, a massive rooftop terrace area, and if you get cold they offer Peninsula blankets to keep you warm. The Peninsula’s Outdoor Bar doesn’t actually require a reservation, however, seats fill up fast, so I highly recommend that you reserve a seat before you arrive.
Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile Windo Rooftop Bar
The Park Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile Windo Rooftop Bar is a rare indoor rooftop bar that is open year round. If you are trying to avoid sitting outside and want to cool down at an air conditioning bar and enjoy an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower then the Park Hyatt is the perfect place for you.
This bar is located on the 34th floor and will give you an incredible view of not only the Eiffel Tower but a 360 degree of all of Paris. As this is one of the view luxury rooftop bars that is completely indoor, seating fills up extremely fast, so I definitely recommend booking a table in advance. Plus when you book a table you can get a seat close to the window for a perfect view of Paris.
Shangri-La Rooftop Bar
One of the most expensive and exclusive bars in Paris is located at the Shangri-La. Not advertised to the public, the Shangri-La opens its door on the 2nd floor to enjoy a spectacular unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower. However, this is probably one of the most expensive luxury experiences.
The Shangri-La rooftop bar only has 14 seats, so you must call in advance to reserve a spot. Expect to spend 55 Euros for a glass of champagne and 275 Euros for a bottle with prices only going up from there. If we are talking candidly I’m sure they will expect you to order more than 1 drink. I’ve only experienced this one of a kind experience once, but I highly recommend it if you are looking for the ultimate luxury rooftop bar experience.
Hotel Raphael Rooftop
If you are looking for an intimate luxury rooftop bar with an Eiffel Tower view then look no further! The Hotel Ralphael offers an intimate luxury rooftop space for guests and non-guests to enjoy. While space is limited, I recommend arriving early to guarantee a seat or booking ahead for a table.
The Hotel Raphael Rooftop Bar is located right in the heart of the 16th arrondissement on Kleber street, you will have incredible views of both the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triomphe. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a more intimate experience.
El Balconcito Paris Rooftop Experience
The last place on the list is so hidden, you can only book via instagram. El Balconcito Paris is the ultimate luxury experience tucked away in the 16th arrondissement on a private rooftop balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower is a one of a kind experience that is breathtaking!
This private experience can accommodate 2 – 4 people and includes live music while you enjoy the Eiffel Tower view. Due to the growing popularity and word of mouth, the one and only table must be booked at least a month in advance. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for the ultimate private Romantic Experience in Paris.
